I've never ever had a bad experience here. It's been years and I swear they get better and better. It was pouring raining this time but we risked pneumonia for a po'boy
Our server Ricardo was the best, most patient, informed, polite guy I've ever had the pleasure of meeting in a New York restaurant. Give this man a raise!
We got a catfish po'boy, grits, red beans n rice, and smothered chicken. Excellent presentation, portion and flavor! As always the ambiance was relaxing and Ricardo let us actually enjoy the meal without disturbing us like some servers do. -

Stopped in for a pre-dinner pre-show drink! Chose Jamison's neat with a glass of ice...sat outside on a beautiful afternoon...everything was wonderful!
Amazing beignets!! -

eh, i didn't pick this spot and it shows... lol.
the restaurant wasn't too packed when we showed up on a sunday (and it remained so the whole time while we were there). anyway, we debated between the bottomless brunch and decided to just order the brunch entrees.
-crab cakes benny: tasty and super filling
-southern sweet hash and eggs: my friend got this and she liked it ok
as stated on the menu, the brunch entrees come with fruit cup, coffeecake, coffee or tea, and a cocktail. not sure if our server was new or they're trying to skimp on things, we didn't get the fruit cup, had to ask for the coffee, cocktail (peach bellini was WEAK), coffeecake. when i asked about the coffeecake, the server legit asked, "oh, you want the coffeecake? how many?" well how many brunch entrees did we ordered? by the end, our server had gone missing and we had to ask a different server for our check. quite frankly, the food was aight but service was very sorely lacking. -

Place has a good vibe. Food was tasty, but not as fully flavored as we might have hoped for from Cajun cuisine. The Jambalaya was the best fish we had. Spicy, but not too much. Shrimp appetizer with garlic bread was a hit. The steak did not stand out though. Service was good despite being busy night.

This place has unreal good food. Everything we had was great. My girlfriend and I split the buffalo wings, which were delicious. She had the Gumbo and love it and I had the Mac n cheese. It felt like a heart attack on a plate, but damn was it good haha. Our waiter was super nice and the decor is really nice too. I would definitely eat here again if ever back in NY.
